You'll work not only with our U.S. team, but also collaborate directly with the <strong>Global Market division at our Japan headquarters</strong>, making this role truly global in scope.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Description:</strong> St. Cousair, Inc. is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial </p><p><strong>Sales Assistant Manager</strong> to lead West Coast sales activities for our Kuze Fuku & Sons brand. Based in the Los Angeles area, you will play a central role in expanding our retail and distribution footprint across California and surrounding markets. The ideal candidate brings CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) brand management experience, a passion for premium food products, and the ability to build strong, lasting partnerships with buyers, distributors, and brokers. Japanese language ability is a strong plus.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct in-person sales meetings with retail buyers across California and surrounding markets.</li><li>Pitch and present new products to grocery, specialty, and gourmet retail accounts.</li><li>Attend and represent Kuze Fuku & Sons at trade shows and industry events (travel required).</li><li>Manage and grow distributor relationships, ensuring strong execution and account growth.</li><li>Oversee sales broker partnerships — set goals, track KPIs, and drive performance.</li><li>Travel regularly to our headquarters in Newberg, Oregon for planning and alignment.</li><li>Bring market intelligence and consumer insights back to our in-house product development team to drive new product ideas and rapid iteration.</li><li>Participate in product development meetings with both our U.S. team and the Global Market division at our Japan headquarters.</li><li>Develop sales materials, samples, and presentations to support buyer meetings.</li><li>Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform brand strategy.</li><li>Help build and grow the Kuze Fuku & Sons brand presence in the West Coast market.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) sales and/or brand management.</li><li>Established relationships with West Coast retailers, distributors, and/or brokers preferred.</li><li>Comfortable traveling for buyer meetings, trade shows, and HQ visits.</li><li>Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.</li><li>Self-starter able to work independently from a remote/home base in California.</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, trial-and-error culture focused on speed-to-market.</li><li><strong>Japanese language ability is highly desirable.</strong></li><li><strong>Passion for Japanese food culture and premium gourmet products.</strong></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>About St. Cousair, Inc.:</strong> St. Cousair, Inc. is a food and beverage manufacturer specializing in product development, production, and packaging.
