Chief Building Engineer Supervisor - Remote (North East)

<div><strong>About the Role:</strong><br/>As a CBRE Chief Building Engineer Supervisor, you'll take the lead in operating and maintaining critical building systems while supervising a skilled engineering team. This role is designed for a hands-on leader who drives performance, develops talent, and ensures facilities operate safely, reliably, and efficiently across a facility, campus, or portfolio.<br/> <strong>What You'll Do:</strong> <ul> <li>Supervise and develop engineering staff by tracking training, conducting performance evaluations, coaching team members, and supporting hiring efforts</li><li>Plan, coordinate, and manage daily team activities, including scheduling, task assignments, cross-training, and deadline tracking</li><li>Develop, implement, and communicate preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures</li><li>Ensure technicians have the proper tools, materials, and information to complete work accurately and on time</li><li>Prepare labor and material cost estimates for work orders, preventive maintenance activities, systems, and construction projects</li><li>Establish, manage, and track facilities maintenance budgets</li><li>Respond to emergencies and coordinate additional support as necessary</li><li>Apply advanced technical knowledge to improve processes, methods, and operational effectiveness</li><li>Demonstrate deep expertise in building engineering while maintaining working knowledge across related disciplines</li><li>Mentor and coach staff to expand technical capabilities across multiple areas</li><li>Influence stakeholders at various levels through clear, confident communication</li><li>Lead by example and consistently demonstrate behaviors aligned with CBRE RISE values</li><li>Contribute to the development of new processes, standards, and operational plans to achieve functional and client goals</li> </ul> <strong>What You'll Need:</strong> <ul> <li>High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.</li> <li>Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.</li> <li>The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.</li> <li>Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business.</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.</li> <li>Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.</li> <li>Highly sophisticated math skills.
