Job Description:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Director HR Business Partner – North America. The role is remote based with preference for eastern or central time zone. The role is open to relocation package. The role supports the Power Transformer business in the North America. The Power HR Business Partner is accountable for the overall HR contribution in close partnership with the factory HR Business Partners to deliver the strategic and operational HR roadmap of the Product Line.

As a key member of the Power Transformer management team, the Power HR Business Partner will collaborate with the Power management to set the people strategy, develop talent outcomes, support business goals and initiatives by overseeing and driving relevant people capabilities and organizational effectiveness in collaboration with the factory HR Business Partners.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting and implementing the HR roadmap for the product line in alignment with the global business unit and the North America HUB people strategy covering culture, competence, and organization.
  • Close partnership with the Factory HR Business Partners to align and oversee talent management, succession planning, and workforce development to meet organizational goals.
  • Build performance culture, KPIs, and targets to enhance business performance
  • Support in identifying development activities to build and improve competence in collaboration with the talent and learning team and to ensure a healthy and sustainable talent structure in the organization, including recruitment, identification and succession planning on business-critical roles, diversity and inclusion.
  • Utilize HR Analytics data to understand key organizational dynamics and to foster data-driven decision-making and action planning.
  • Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, labor law, organizational behavior or business-related field and a minimum 10 years of Human Resource Business Partner experience, including experience in manufacturing environment and in leadership positions.
  • Masters’ degree an added advantage
  • Experience in a fast-paced, global, multinational matrix environment
  • Experience in Industrial relations / labor relations is a plus
  • Up to 50% travel required
