With Vituity, if you ever need to move, you can take your job with you.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"><strong>The Opportunity</strong></span></p><ul><li>Facilitate the efficient flow of the department to include the following:</li><li>Assist with calls to clinics, other hospital facilities, and patients’ families. </li><li>Assist with taking messages and directing message to appropriate person in the department  </li><li>Walk service dogs. </li><li>Respond to nurse call lights and inform the appropriate staff of patients’ needs. </li><li>Provide comfort items to patients (water, blankets, etc.) </li><li>Stock non-medication supplies in the department. </li><li>Assemble urine collection kits. </li><li>Organize nutritional supplies, linen carts, equipment, and utility rooms. </li><li>Organize equipment and utility rooms, notify staff of any faulty equipment. </li><li>Assist with cleaning rooms after each patient is discharged. </li><li>Retrieve wheelchairs and return to appropriate locations; provide wheelchair assistance. </li><li>Transport specimens to lab if needed. </li><li>Call lab/radiology to inquire about lab results. </li><li>Communicate with RN regarding patients ready for discharge, that all results are completed and patient ready for re-evaluation. </li><li>Notify RN of inpatient bed assignment and assist with getting patient ready for transport. </li><li>Assist staff and patients with the following duties upon formal training: </li><li>Weigh patients, obtain patient vital signs, assist with patient transport. </li><li>Reconnect patients to telemetry monitoring and pulse ox. </li><li>Patient Sitter. </li><li>Unit Secretary duties.  </li><li>Oversee day-to-day needs of the Clinical Care Coordinators. </li><li>Complete and manage monthly schedules for the Clinical Care Coordinators. </li><li>Work collaboratively with Recruiting, Onboarding, and People Operations teams regarding staffing and performance management. </li><li>Review timecards for accuracy and approve timecards. </li><li>Conduct evaluations as required by site. </li><li>Train new Clinical Care Coordinators on their role and responsibilities. </li><li>Regularly report to the Site Program Manager regarding performance, problems, and/or successes of the Clinical Care Coordinators. </li><li>Help communicate employee changes to central office such as status changes and separations. </li><li>Ensure all Clinical Care Coordinators on roster are within compliance by the deadlines set by company annually. </li></ul><p> </p><p><span style="color:#000000;"><strong>Required Experience and Competencies</strong></span></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED required. </li><li>Pre-med or nursing related courses (upper division Anatomy or Physiology is a plus) preferred.</li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification if required by assigned Site preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. </li><li>Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred. </li><li>One year of experience as a Clinical Care Coordinator preferred.</li><li>Strong writing skills: legibility and spelling proficiency required.  </li><li>Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills. </li><li>Knowledge of facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures.</li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA regulations .</li><li>Knowledge of Privacy Policies regarding Protected Health Information (PHI) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) as set forth in the Privacy Policy Manual </li></ul><p> </p><p><span style="color:#000000;"><strong>The Community</strong></span></p><p>Even when you are working remotely, you are an important part of the Vituity Community.
