Location: Samlesbury, Lancashire<br>Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent<br>Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience and qualifications)<br>Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday | Flexible between 07:30–17:30<br>Occupational Health Nurse Job Overview (Samlesbury)<br>We are recruiting for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse (RGN, NMC registered) to join a multidisciplinary Occupational Health team at a client site in Samlesbury, Lancashire.<br>This is a hands‑on clinical Occupational Health role delivering a wide range of services including health surveillance, case management, fitness for work assessments, travel health, vaccinations, and minor injury/illness care.<br>You will be part of a supportive, collaborative Occupational Health department, working closely with Occupational Health Advisors, Technicians, and external healthcare professionals to deliver high‑quality employee health services.<br>Key Responsibilities – Occupational Health Nurse Role<br>Deliver health surveillance programmes and manage escalations via Occupational Health Technicians<br>Conduct case management and fitness for work assessments<br>Provide clinical assessments for employees presenting with minor illness and injury<br>Carry out pre‑employment health assessments<br>Deliver travel health assessments and administer travel vaccinations<br>Attend emergency call‑outs when required<br>Provide professional Occupational Health advice, support, and guidance<br>Support and work closely with the Senior Occupational Health Advisor<br>Ensure clinical assessment skills are maintained in line with best practice and NMC standards<br>Contribute to workplace health and wellbeing initiatives<br>Liaise with external healthcare providers and multidisciplinary teams<br>Candidate Requirements – Occupational Health Nurse (RGN)<br>To be successful in this Occupational Health Nurse role, you will need:<br>Essential Requirements<br>Registered General Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC registration<br>Experience in Occupational Health or Practice Nursing<br>Strong experience in case management and health surveillance<br>Good understanding of Occupational Health clinical practice<br>Strong organisational and prioritisation skills in a busy clinical environment<br>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<br>Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and clinical systems<br>Key Attributes<br>Team player with a collaborative approach<br>Ability to work independently and manage clinical workload<br>Committed to professional development and continuous learning<br>Confident, proactive, and able to handle a varied clinical caseload<br>Working Pattern – Occupational Health Nurse Job<br>Full-time: 37.5 hours per week<br>Monday to Friday<br>Flexible working between 07:30 – 17:30<br>On-site role based in Samlesbury, Lancashire<br>Benefits – Occupational Health Nurse Role<br>Competitive salary (DOE)<br>Contributory pension scheme (up to 6%)<br>Life assurance<br>25 days annual leave + Salary: GBP 30000 - 40000 per year
