QA Tester

We are seeking a QA Tester to support quality assurance efforts for software tools, systems, and workflows used to create and deliver consumer-facing instructional content for PlayStation products. This role focuses on validating functionality, ensuring workflow reliability, and maintaining quality standards across internal platforms used by cross-functional teams.<br>Core Responsibilities<br>Execute defined manual functional and regression test cases across web-based and desktop applications.<br>Validate bug fixes and enhancements against documented requirements.<br>Identify, reproduce, and document defects using issue-tracking systems (e.g., Wrike).<br>Write clear bug reports with reproducible steps, expected vs. actual results, and supporting evidence.<br>Follow established QA processes, test plans, and documentation standards.<br>Collaborate with software developers, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and expected behavior.<br>Maintain test checklists and lightweight test documentation to support ongoing regression and release testing.<br>Manage assigned work independently and meet agreed-upon timelines.<br>Experience performing software QA or testing in a professional environment.<br>Hands‑on experience with manual functional and regression testing.<br>Familiarity with web-based systems and typical web application stacks, including:<br>Front‑end technologies such as JavaScript and jQuery<br>Back‑end or server‑side concepts (e.g., APIs, databases, PHP)<br>Relational databases (e.g., MySQL) at a basic validation/query level<br>Working knowledge of structured content formats such as XML (DITA experience preferred).<br>Experience testing desktop or locally run applications and scripts (e.g., Python‑based tools).<br>Familiarity with defect tracking and collaboration tools (e.g., Wrike, Confluence).<br>Experience performing QA as part of an Agile Scrum team.<br>Basic understanding of software development concepts (e.g., builds, environments, versioning).<br>Experience using Git for source control.<br>Ability to follow defined processes, manage multiple test tasks, and work effectively with technical teams.<br>Linguistic QA experience and/or experience working with Japan-based teams a plus.<br>Familiarity with content management systems or publishing workflows a plus.<br>Education<br>Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience.<br>PlayStation isn't just the Best Place to Play - it's also the Best Place to Work.
