You will be part of a team that is passionate about our purpose, committed to nurturing curiosity and new skills, and building connections across the organization with colleagues, customers, and guests. <br/><br/><strong>The Role</strong> <br/><br/> The Senior Product Engineer plays a key role in designing and delivering scalable, maintainable, and high-performing digital solutions for Hyatt's global platforms. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams. <br/><br/> You'll mentor other engineers, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and drive improvements in engineering practices and system architecture. Senior Engineers help ensure that Hyatt's technology solutions are reliable, secure, and aligned with long-term business goals. <br/>• Lead development of complex features and services across the stack. <br/>• Design, implement, and optimize scalable software architectures. <br/>• Mentor and support mid-level engineers through code reviews and technical guidance. <br/>• Define and enforce best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. <br/>• Partner with Product Managers and Designers to translate requirements into technical solutions. <br/>• Enhance observability, reliability, and performance of production systems. <br/>• Drive adoption of modern tools, frameworks, and cloud technologies. <br/>• May serve as a technical lead for projects or initiatives. <br/><br/><b>Qualifications:</b><br/> <strong>Experience Required:</strong> <br/>• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, architecture, and technical operations.<br/>• 2+ years of experience leading small project teams (2-5 engineers) in an Agile environment.<br/>• Proven ability to design, build, and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure applications.<br/>• Hands-on experience with front-end and back-end development using modern frameworks.<br/>• Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and associated frameworks, including Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, MyBatis, AngularJS, and Node.js.<br/>• Solid experience with SQL and relational database design.<br/>• Expertise in RESTful services, API development, and integrations using APIGEE, nginx, and JSON.<br/>• Working knowledge of Apache Kafka for building event-driven architectures and integrating microservices.<br/>• Experience with automated testing using frameworks such as Karma, Selenium, Protractor, WebDriver, and Jasmine.<br/>• Skilled in continuous integration and deployment using Jenkins, Git, Bash scripts, Maven, Gradle, Webpack, and WildFly application/web servers.<br/>• Proficient in using Jira and Confluence for documentation, collaboration, and project tracking.<br/>• Strong understanding of requirements analysis, system design, and DevOps best practices.<br/>• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).<br/>• Skilled in planning how applications connect with databases, data warehouses, data lakes, and external APIs.<br/>• Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, relational databases (RDBMS) concepts, and dimensional modeling<br/>• Experience with designing and building scalable and robust data pipelines to enable data-driven decisions for the business<br/>• Analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly those that apply to Operation Data source and Data Migration.<br/><br/><strong>Experience Preferred:</strong> <br/>• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or STEM field <br/>• Experience in hospitality or travel industry <br/><br/>The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all-encompassing.
