Turner & Townsend and CBRE work together to provide clients with the premier program, project and cost management offering in markets around the world. </p></div></section><section class="job-section" id="st-jobDescription"><div><p class="googlejobs-paragraph--empty"></p><h2 class="title">Job Description</h2></div><div class="wysiwyg" itemprop="responsibilities"><p><br> <strong>Turner & Townsend</strong> is seeking an experienced <strong>Senior Quantity Surveyor </strong>to act as the key, day‑to‑day client interface and deliver value‑added cost management services for a major, multi‑phase data center construction program. This program includes a large, multi‑building campus footprint, high‑density technical facilities, and several phases of construction progressing in parallel across a long‑term development pipeline.</p><p>To be successful in this role, you must be confident in a client‑facing environment, able to communicate clearly, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively. In this significant position, you will provide leadership and direction while embedding and promoting Turner & Townsend’s purpose, values, and vision.</p><p><strong>This position may work remotely from anywhere within the United States, provided the candidate is based in the U.S. Central or Mountain time zones.</strong><br> <br> <br> <strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Develop detailed cost plans and estimates through design and delivery phases for a multi‑building, large‑scale construction campus.</li><li>Produce and present monthly cost reports, executive summaries, and funding information.</li><li>Coordinate cost data from design teams, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors for thorough cost validation.</li><li>Compile built cost records to support benchmarking and continuous improvement.</li><li>Review contractor and subcontractor pricing and lead commercial negotiations to drive fair and competitive contract values.</li><li>Lead the review, estimation, negotiation, and reconciliation of change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.</li><li>Manage post‑contract cost variances, change control processes, commitment logs, and contingency tracking.</li><li>Support cost risk analysis, scenario planning, and cost‑impact assessments.</li><li>Ensure cost, schedule, and scope integration in coordination with project controls teams.</li><li>Contribute to procurement strategy development and scope alignment across multiple construction packages.</li><li>Participate in contractor pricing reviews and support the client through commercial negotiations.</li><li>Ensure timely agreement of final accounts and maintain a robust process for cost auditing and validation.</li><li>Act as the primary day‑to‑day client interface, ensuring objectives are met and service excellence is delivered.</li><li>Prepare written commentary on contractor submissions and provide cost estimate updates at key milestones.</li><li>Coordinate with general contractors, design partners, and stakeholders across a large, multi‑phase construction campus.</li><li>Inform engineering and design priorities based on cost considerations.</li><li>Lead and coordinate value engineering (VE) sessions with stakeholders.</li><li>Provide insight into market trends, escalation, and construction cost drivers.</li><li>Prepare monthly cost reports and ensure all commercial documentation is accurate and timely.</li><li>Implement and maintain Turner & Townsend’s Business Management Systems and delivery methodologies.</li><li>Demonstrate strong financial management, including margin tracking and monthly fee/resource forecasting.</li><li>Mentor, coach, and support the development of junior team members.</li><li>Promote a high‑performance, one‑business culture across the team.</li><li>Display excellence in leadership and service delivery in line with commission requirements.</li><li>SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.</li></ul></div></section><section class="job-section" id="st-qualifications"><div><p class="googlejobs-paragraph--empty"></p><h2 class="title">Qualifications</h2></div><div class="wysiwyg" itemprop="qualifications"><p> </p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>5–7+ years of relevant experience in construction cost management on medium to large‑scale projects of moderate to high complexity.</li><li>Data center construction experience, or experience in mission‑critical, high‑tech, industrial, semiconductor, or other large‑scale technical facilities is strongly preferred.</li><li>Construction consulting experience strongly preferred.</li><li>Strong understanding of cost planning, procurement routes, commercial management, value management, and value engineering.</li><li>RICS accreditation or progress toward certification preferred.</li><li>Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and analytical skills.</li><li>Proficiency with industry‑standard cost management tools and software.</li></ul></div></section><section class="job-section" id="st-additionalInformation"><div><p class="googlejobs-paragraph--empty"></p><h2 class="title">Additional Information</h2></div><div class="wysiwyg" itemprop="incentives"><p><br> <strong><em>*On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our client's needs.</em></strong><br> <br> Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
