Position Summary

This position is responsible within the Enterprise Cybersecurity function for the:
  • Baseline support and enhancement; including monitoring, maintenance, support, improvement and integration of assigned enterprise cybersecurity and infrastructure-based products (Infrastructure Functions) in the Foster Farms computing environment.
  • Solution recommendation and implementation of new vendor-supplied and/or in-house developed security solutions (Infrastructure Solutions) within assigned Infrastructure Functions.
  • The Cybersecurity Analyst (CA) will work closely with IT staff to provide effective and efficient business solutions in the assigned Infrastructure Functions. This position will monitor and analyze assigned Infrastructure Solutions to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of the Foster Farms Infrastructure environment. This requires a limited degree of creativity and latitude.
  • The CA may also play a role in enforcing standards relating to the use of assigned Infrastructure Functions.
PROBLEM ANALYSIS/RESOLUTION:
  • This position has apprentice level authority, without approval, to take the necessary steps to resolve system outages within the assigned Infrastructure Functions environment(s) in a timely fashion. This could include arranging support from vendors, working in conjunction with other IT staff or escalating to IT management as appropriate. Ensure assigned Infrastructure Functions are efficient, effective, and secure. For assigned functions and solutions this position will be responsible for monitoring and tracking the utilization/growth of production/test environments and ensuring appropriate controls/ security is in effect to protect Foster Farms from adverse situations or catastrophe (ensure established system backup/recovery and disaster recovery systems are in place and functioning properly). This role will also document and share system fixes with fellow support staff.
TECHNICAL TASKS:
  • The CA will, with little direction, analyze and resolve low to medium impact problems and issues which occur in assigned Infrastructure Solutions. In addition, the CA will create instructions regarding how to perform aspects of the job. The CA will develop and maintain a primary understanding of the design and program functions included in systems configurations while continuing to develop a broader and deeper understanding of such. Maintain/enhance Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) for assigned Infrastructure Functions. Monitor all systems/solutions for compliance with these SLA’s. Monitor compliance with established policies and procedures.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
  • Performs the technical activities associated with low to moderately complex initiatives, as directed. Ensures detailed task plans are consistently utilized, in conjunction with the Foster Farms Systems Development Methodology, for all assigned projects to insure their accurate and timely completion. Routinely communicates status of activities to project managers and IT management.
INTERACTION /COMMUNICATION:
  • The CA will effectively communicate technical information with IT management and staff. This role also will develop strong working relationships with peers, vendors, and IT staff through interpersonal communication.
