About the Position KPG Healthcare is seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team on a permanent basis. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients, assisting healthcare providers in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Description

  • Specialty: Radiology / X-Ray Tech
  • Location: Madison, Wisconsin
  • Pay: 1.15x OT after 40 hours in a week, Depending on experience
  • Shift Time: Nights 12 hours Night Shift, four 12 hour night shifts per pay period plus two 8 hour PM or Day shi
  • Weekly Hours: 40
Qualifications:
  • Education: Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Certification: Current certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT - R).
  • Licensure: State licensure or certification as required by the state of practice.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating radiologic equipment and relevant software.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, empathy, and a patient-centered approach.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images and maintain accurate records.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to ethical and confidentiality standards.
  • Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting and positioning patients as necessary and standing for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Perform a variety of radiologic procedures, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Patient Care: Greet and prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns. Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the examination.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain radiology equipment, including ensuring its proper functioning and performing routine quality control checks.
  • Image Quality: Produce high-quality diagnostic images by adjusting equipment settings as needed and ensuring patients are properly positioned.
  • Radiation Safety: Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure risks to patients, yourself, and colleagues.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, including images, exam details, and relevant clinical information, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
  • Communication: Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss patient histories and provide preliminary findings as needed. Communicate effectively with patients to explain the imaging process.
  • Continuing Education: Stay updated with the latest advancements in radiologic technology and techniques through ongoing education and professional development.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of radiologic services.
