About DentalScan

DentalScan is a healthcare technology startup focused on improving access to dental care through simple, on-demand virtual consultations.

We are building a platform that allows patients and care providers to connect with licensed dentists within minutes, helping address urgent dental concerns, provide guidance, and reduce unnecessary emergency room visits.

In addition to on-demand care, our mission includes expanding access to preventive dental support for underserved populations

Role Overview

We are building a nationwide network of licensed dentists to provide virtual consultations on an on-demand basis.

This is a fully remote, flexible opportunity designed for dentists who prefer low-commitment work without the overhead of running or working in a physical practice.

Consultations are brief and focused on triage, guidance, and when appropriate, prescribing or recommending next steps.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct short virtual dental consultations (typically 5–10 minutes)
  • Assess patient concerns and provide professional guidance
  • Recommend next steps, including in-person care when needed
  • Prescribe medications when appropriate and within your licensing scope
  • Document consultations within the platform

Compensation

  • Per-consult compensation (details shared during onboarding)
  • Additional incentives may be available based on responsiveness and availability

Requirements (Must Have)

  • Active dental license (DDS or DMD)
  • Licensed in Florida (preferred) or another U.S. state
  • Ability to prescribe within your licensed jurisdiction
  • Strong communication skills and ability to provide clear guidance remotely

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience with telehealth or virtual care
  • Multi-state licensure
  • Background in general dentistry, emergency care, or patient triage
