Compensation & Benefits: The estimated total compensation for this role ranges from $124,700-129,000, consisting of a base salary, equity and a performance-based bonus. Please note: that the base salary portion of this package is location-dependent and may be adjusted based on the cost of labor in your primary work region. We will provide a specific breakdown tailored to your location during the first interview.

Design Sales Manager, Virtual & Cabinetry Design Services

Wayfair is seeking a highly motivated, strategic people leader to head the Virtual Design Services team. This role is instrumental in shaping the future of how customers engage with our brands through virtual and cabinetry design services. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive roadmap, spearheading innovative projects, and partnering with senior leadership to improve the customer and designer experience.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a team of managers and designers to exceed KPIs like revenue, conversion, and customer satisfaction. Monitor and analyze performance to identify trends and implement data-driven strategies for optimization.

  • Independently solve complex tactical and operational problems, anticipating second-order impacts and offering proactive solutions before involving senior leadership.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscapes to translate market insights into actionable strategies for the virtual design business.

  • Partner closely with partners across Design, Category Management, Compensation, and more to solve customer and designer challenges. Develop relationships with stakeholders outside of the direct team to identify best practices and share learnings across organizations.

  • Exemplify a positive and professional attitude on a daily basis with customers and your team members

  • Plan and execute team engagement activities, sales contests, and continuous education classes.

  • Support designers through changes in workflows and policies by contributing to launch plans and testing, communication, and training.

  • Champion a high-performance team culture that prioritizes psychological safety, inclusivity, and strategic ownership, ensuring the team remains motivated and aligned with Wayfair’s long-term vision.

What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of experience in sales management, business development, or a related field (preferably in a design-related environment)

  • Demonstrated ability to own sales-driving initiatives from end-to-end, with a strong understanding of how to translate a high-level vision into actionable plans.

  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, using data to inform transparent and timely decision-making.

  • Experience leading large teams (20+) and managing other managers to achieve collective goals. Experience with managing and motivating a virtual distributed team (preferred).

  • Ability to leverage technology to drive business results; experience in design tools and Salesforce is a plus.

  • Bachelors degree

  • Ability to maintain internet speeds of 25Mbps+ (download) and 5+ (upload) to support voice traffic and HTTPS web traffic using a hardwire ethernet internet connection (no WiFi)

  • Dedicated private workspace (Wayfair provides all necessary computer equipment)

  • Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office applications and technical acumen to learn new business systems
