We are Better Together. </strong></p> <p> </p></div><p><strong>What do we need </strong></p> <p>As the Senior Application Scientist your primary role is to configure & support the implementation of Dotmatics Virscidian solutions in to complex laboratory, scientific research or scientific development environments.  This role takes ownership of the implementation lifecycle — from project kickoff through go-live — ensuring that the scope of work and quotation commitments are delivered on time, on budget, and to the customer's scientific objectives.You will work closely with cross functional teams such project management teams & solution architects, product teams & customers, to understand their needs, analyse their data environment, assist in design and implementation of our solutions and aid in integration with their data systems. You will also be responsible for demonstrations and training, technical support, and business development where appropriate.</p> <p>Working within our Professional Services team, the Senior Application Scientist will act as a partner to the customer to solve the challenging business needs of the customer with the Virscidian product suite.</p> <p><strong>In this role you will get to</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead in discovery activities to identify key systems in scope (customer environment)  for data integration</li> <li>Work along side Principal Application Scientists & our customer to help Identify optimal sourcing and integration strategy ensuring clarity of data requirements in complex laboratory settings</li> <li>Provide guidance and best practices on data sourcing for the creation of sustainable integrations and methods utilizing standard Data Ingestion technologies and architectural principles</li> <li>Configure, deploy, and validate application-specific workflows spanning laboratory automation, orchestration, data capture, and analytics within Virscidian.</li> <li>Data integration: Planning, coordinating, and supervising the integration of data from various sources </li> <li>Data flow monitoring: Monitoring the flow of data between databases, servers, and cloud services </li> <li>Data architecture: Identifying and implementing the best data integration (DI) architecture for the organization</li> <li>Conduct technical peer reviews / Conduct structured user acceptance testing (UAT) and sign-off processes to confirm that delivered solutions meet defined specifications.</li> <li>Provide oversight and governance on projects where there are parallel activities</li> <li>Evaluate user requirements, & provide estimates</li> <li>Train Customers on how to use the configured solutions / Deliver hands-on training to customer scientists and automation teams, ensuring effective adoption and long-term operational success.</li> <li>Communicate and collaborate among cross-functional teams in a multinational environment (Project Managers, Developers, Architects)</li> </ul> <p>We are looking for people who have 8 years + experience deploying Scientific SaaS solutions into the lIfe science industry/end user environments.  Ideally you will hold a Master or PhD in Chemistry or Biology, with a preference in small molecule research. </p> <p><strong>The key skills we are looking for: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Advanced experience in consulting customers (typical within the Scientific/Life Science community), with proven experience of SaaS Solution implementations</li> <li>Advanced understanding of the progression from manual to semi-automated to fully automated laboratory workflows.</li> <li>Data integration: Planning, coordinating, and leading teams with the integration of data from various source </li> <li>The ability to clearly document key business requirements</li> <li>Strong ability to focus on a data first architecture and data scientist technology (Databricks, Snowflake) and data warehouse/lake technologies that support lab orchestration activities </li> <li>Working with: lab informatics software, building queries, web technologies and knowledge of file transformations like CSV, XML, XLS, XLSX and XSL and strong configuration management.</li> <li>In depth user expertise in Oracle (SQL) as an enterprise tool</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of  building and deploying  API’s</li> <li>Delivering high quality presentations and training, including the ability to present systems diagramming, UML (Universal mark up language) and ERD (Entity relationship diagrams).</li> <li>The ability to adjust communication style to speak to the audience with the ability to translate Scientific & Technical language in to layman’s terms</li> </ul> <p><strong>You may also have</strong> </p> <ul> <li>Experience with laboratory scheduling software, digital lab platforms, LIMS, or data integration solutions.</li> <li>Familiarity with LCMS instrumentation, automation hardware, robotics, and instrument connectivity.</li> <li>Prior experience in a customer-facing delivery role such as field applications, professional services, or technical consulting.</li> <li>Exposure to pre-sales or solution scoping activities, with an appreciation for translating customer needs into defined project scope.</li> </ul> <p> </p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Research shows us the<a class="c-link" href="https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2014/05/the-confidence-gap/359815/" target="_blank" data-sk="tooltip_parent" data-stringify-link="https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2014/05/the-confidence-gap/359815/"> confidence gap</a> and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting outstanding candidates, so please don’t hesitate to apply — we’d love to hear from you.</p> <p>By submitting your application, you agree that Dotmatics may collect your personal data for recruiting, global organization planning, and related purposes.
