Those stories are part of what makes this such a special place to work.</p> <p><strong>Job Overview</strong></p> <p>The Senior Beauty Education Specialist is a business leader and owner within Macy’s Beauty Education department, driving the strategic direction, development, and execution of industry-leading education programs. This role is responsible for creating and launching innovative training initiatives that enhance the expertise of Macy’s Beauty teams, strengthen vendor partnerships, and elevate the customer experience.</p> <p>Reporting to the Head of Beauty Education, the Senior Specialist will play a key role in developing new programs, including certifications, new hire onboarding modules, and advanced training while leading the evolution of Beauty Education’s impact on selling and service initiatives. This leader will ensure seamless integration of training programs with business priorities, providing Macy’s Beauty teams with the tools and knowledge to drive sales, increase customer engagement, and elevate service standards.</p> <p><strong>What You Will Do</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Drive Beauty Education Strategy</strong> <ul> <li>Own the development and execution of training initiatives that align with Macy’s Beauty business priorities.</li> <li>Work with Head of Beauty Education to drive strategies that directly support sales and service excellence.</li> <li>Act as a liaison between Education, Merchandising, Field Operations, and Vendor Partners to ensure alignment with key initiatives.</li> </ul></li> <li><strong>Develop and Execute Training Programs</strong> <ul> <li>In collaboration with Head of Education, design, implement, and refine training programs for Beauty Advisors, Counter Managers, and other key roles.</li> <li>Strengthen best-in-class new hire onboarding program to ensure strong foundational knowledge and fast-track success.</li> <li>Develop and implement advanced training programs that focus on elevating skillset, brand knowledge, and selling strategies.</li> <li>Build a Counter Manager development program to enhance leadership and business management skills.</li> <li>Oversee the Train-the-Trainer strategy, ensuring BETS (Beauty Education & Training Specialists) are equipped to deliver high-impact education.</li> <li>Influence and guide field trainers and store leadership to ensure consistent execution of education strategies.</li> </ul></li> </ul> <p style="margin-left:1in"> </p> <ul> <li><strong>Drive Selling and Service Initiatives</strong> <ul> <li>Ensure all education content is focused on enhancing hospitality-driven selling techniques, customer engagement, and service standards.</li> <li>Collaborate with Field Leadership to implement and measure the effectiveness of training in driving sales performance.</li> <li>Develop education content that empowers Beauty Advisors to create personalized customer experiences and achieve business objectives.</li> </ul></li> <li><strong>Content Development and Execution</strong> <ul> <li>Drive content creation for eLearning, live, virtual and omnichannel learning platforms.</li> </ul></li> <li>Partner with vendors and cross-functional teams to co-create education that supports mutual business objectives and maximizes brand investment. <ul> <li>Collaborate with Education Team to develop strong and impactful Programming, ensuring seamless execution of seasonal and priority-based trainings.</li> </ul></li> <li><strong>Analyze, Measure, and Optimize Training Impact</strong> <ul> <li>Utilize data-driven insights to assess training effectiveness and optimize programs for greater business impact.</li> <li>Track performance metrics related to education programs, identifying opportunities for improvement, innovation and retention.</li> </ul></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Skills You Will Need</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Business Leadership</strong>: Ownership mentality with a strategic approach to driving Beauty Education’s impact on sales, service, and customer experience.</li> <li><strong>Training & Development</strong>: Expertise in creating, executing, and optimizing training programs for various levels of Beauty teams.</li> <li><strong>Selling & Service Strategy</strong>: Strong ability to develop training that enhances selling behaviors, customer engagement, and artistry.</li> <li><strong>Communication & Presentation</strong>: Exceptional skills in public speaking, content delivery, and collaboration with key stakeholders.</li> <li><strong>Innovation & Digital Proficiency</strong>: Experience in digital education, eLearning platforms, and video content creation (script writing).
